Strand Palette VL

There’s so much that’s new with Palette VL. And so much that you already know. The Palette VL family of consoles bridge between the clean simple operation of our regular Palette consoles with the control and sophistication of our larger Light Palette VL consoles. Now you can have the power of conventional and moving light control in a value priced system. Palette VL features an integral trackball, moving light encoders and direct action attribute keys to extend the power of the Palette family of consoles. Available with 500 to 1500 channels, the new consoles now offer an optional second video display to present more information to console operators, including an advanced moving light control screen.

Strand’s new Palette VL consoles build on the most successful lighting control operating system to bring you PaletteOS, a high resolution point/click graphic environment to unleash your creativity and speed up workflow. At its core, PaletteOS is all about real world control with simple direct operation to record cues and set levels, coupled with an intuitive approach to moving light control. Colors quickly match to the color filters you know, gobos rotate in RPM not DMX values and our displays deliver real information that you need all the time. Available in two models one with 16 Submasters and one with 64 submasters, there is a Palette VL to meet your needs.

Palette has a powerful web browser that lets you configure and monitor your network and interact directly with Strand’s award-winning C21 dimming systems. Right there on the console screen. And if one screen is not enough, adding a second is as simple as ordering our USB expansion module for plug and play connectivity.

And Palette is an elegant and highly functional lighting console, leveraging industry-standard technologies to make it robust and future-safe. Palette’s brain is a rugged industrial PC that could be swapped in seconds if you ever needed to. Palette has a generous hard drive, or you can save your shows anywhere on the network. You even get a shiny new USB key for show storage over sneaker net.

Oh, and you can even read your existing Strand 300 and 500 series console show files, bringing new life to your repertory of productions.
